Deer and the Antelope Play

Peter outdid himself today, we left laramie wy where we stayed last night and headed west... he drove and drove and drove.  Over many beautiful mountains up and down hills, we crossed the highest pass at over 8000 feet and then after that it stayed up around 7000 for miles and hours.  Much of the time the RV was at 45 mph sometimes high 30's due to the steep hills... many of the hills in WY coming up to the pass are a nice gentle grade so we didn't notice them as much, but down the other side they got steeper.  The roads are so nice, wide, dry and not very many bumps.  It would be much easier if we had a diesel RV but this one is chugging along.
The scenery was beautiful, the mountains are so majestic; the snow is already melting although we saw some rivers that were totally frozen over.  It was really exciting to see many herds of antelope along the way, really close to the interstate, must not be hunting season.
We entered Utah and thought we were going down into a valley, we did see some beautiful valleys turning north through Ogden, then once we headed further up onto 84 there were more mountains and we're heading up again.
The temps are not too terrible, tonight I was able to go outside with the dogs in shirtsleeves and vest.  The dogs were so good today with all the travel, we stopped enough times for Hoshi to do her business and I'd walk her around to get the kinks out, then back into the RV and off we'd go again.  Hoshi slept a lot but Nougat had to watch the road the whole time.  She's now in her crate conked out totally!!  When we parked tonight it was still light and I let both dogs out to play, there's no one else here at this campground so I was able to let them play, they both went nuts with running around and having a great time.
Tonight we stopped at just on the Utah side at exit 7, just over 455 miles today.  We'll be going through Idaho tomorrow,  don't know where we'll stop but have to get to Portland and get everything in order.
We will get to see the kids and Peter's aunt and uncle will be coming down.  We have alot to take care of, and hope to find Peter's sister; she hasn't answered any of our phone messages.
On our way back we hope to stop at Tom & Cheryl's and spend a day... we don't have to be in Greeley CO until the 12th.  I got us a booth at both the Sheltie National and the Austrailian Sheep Dog National and setup is the 13th.  We'll get to see Ellen and meet her beau too, I'm so looking forward to that.
