Still in Mesa

We're still here and things are progressing.  The windshield got put in today, the dents are fibre glassed over, the parts are still off, needing to be primed.  We leave here on Tuesday morning for setup at the Tucson show that starts on Wednesday.
I got an id card today, using Rob's address.  I'm starting to become a person again.  Paypal has reimbursed me for the fraud charges.  I've gotten the business debit cards for 3 of the accounts, I'm missing two more... they should be in the next batch of mail that we'll get in Tucson.
I got my hair cut and my nails done along with a pedicure.  Wow that was a
n experience... the gal took off all my callouses on my toes and feet.  Feels great.
Hoshi and I have been going out every day on the bicycle, besides going places and doing things, we just go for a ride.  She love to run and there are canals close by that have bike paths
on each side.  They are dirt, so are easy on her pads, she gets to see ducks floating on the canal
along with a lot of pigeons; they are very slow to move so Hoshi actually will pull  the bike so that she can watch the fly up in front of us.

Mesa, AZ

The RV got an oops... we are in Mesa getting it fixed.. the insurance is paying for it.
Peter dropped the trailer off in a parking lot close to the show site and headed back to the RV lot to park.  It was 5:30 and the sun was going down fast, he was heading into the sun and looking for our spot at the same time... a huge electrical pole all of a sudden leaped into his path with a trash can in front of it.  Since Peter was going so slow, he crushed the trash can and there was no damage to the pole.  The RV got the front left corner from bumper to windshield crunched good.  The windshield was cracked just to the left of center and it looks like a fan as all the cracks radiate out and up and across.  Below that there is a dent that is crackled about the size of a dinner plate and then the headlight was crushed and dented on the left side and below that the bumper was bent under due to the trash can.
Some friends that live here recommended a place here in mesa so we called them and they told us to call the insurance.  We did, came down here, the insurance inspected and approved and now the work is being done.
We are in a wonderful spot of the city.
Within 1.5 miles there are two post offices, a UPS store, 2 grocery stores, a laundromat, and many other neat stores.  We will be here at least through the weekend and might have to come back to get the painting done after Tucson which starts on tuesday next week.
We have decided, along with the breeder to get Hoshi spade without letting her have puppies.  She's on a 5 month cycle of heat and she's having false pregnancies every few months.  The hormones are making her crazy and she trances out, when that happens she growls and bares her teeth.  This is a defect of the German Pinscher breed showing up in only some of them; we're hoping that by spaying her the hormones will settle down and she'll become normal.   I've learned from a trainer named Gary Wilkes that when that happens I can "bonk" her with a rolled up towel (yelling NO just prior) and snap her out of it.  It does seem to work; it's already helped with her growling at some people.   She has never liked it when women bend down and get in her face reaching for her.  She lifts her lip and bares her teeth, growling deep in her chest.. I've tried everything to stop her from this, lifting her by the scruff of her neck, choking her with her collar, wacking her over her nose with my finger.  Nothing has worked... I have now tried the "bonk" and she actually turned her head away from a woman who did the bend and reach, I was so excited.  There is probably more work to be done, but it's a positive start.
She learns so quickly,  I'm always trying to teach her more... her vocabulary grows daily from words that we work on.
We are going out daily with the bicycle and doing 3 - 5 miles in the mornings.  She loves it, her favorite speed is "fast", I let her set the speed, she trys to pull me faster if I don't go as fast as she wanted.  Here in Mesa there is a canal with bike lanes on either side.  There are also bike lanes on many of the streets, it's a very clean town and even through this morning it was cool, the temps are perfect.  We are having a great time in spite of the mishaps that have taken place with the RV.
