Ohio

We had a wonderful 10 days in KY.... what a lot got done... I sorted through all the leather, putting them together so that Peter can spend more time just braiding.  It works well when we work together.
Got alot of product ordered, got alot of orders for product!!  Both leashes and ez tatts were ordered and sent out.
God provides even when we don't have a show, He knows all our needs.  We are very blessed.
Peter's test of blood pressure between arm and leg was reported to be fine, so no clots found in his legs.  The echo cardiogram test has not yet been reported to us.
We had rain last night, it poured like crazy.  I believe that the drug I have begun to take is making an effect on my fibromyalgia, I didn't have as many pains that are normally associated with rain like last nights.  Praise God that He supplies even this, the pain had been getting to be too much for me at times.
Hoshi is getting tested for Hips tomorrow.. the test sees if she is good enough to be used for breeding.  Want only the best genetics to pass on for the breed.  She is 17 months old tomorrow, still a puppy but growing fast.
Nougat is such a sweetheart, since it's getting colder in the mornings she is wearing little t-shirts and boy does she love them, as does Hoshi too.  Since they are both short haired dogs, they need some help.
This next weekend we are going to an agility show in Dayton, OH.  Sunday night we will be in Richmond, IN.  Forever traveling

More Changes in Plans

Well plans have changed again, it's nice to be able to change our minds without worrying about a boss that has other plans.
We're going to drive from Kansas to AZ right after the Doberman national.  We've decided, with some help from other vendors, that TX would not have good shows due to IKE problems along with the economy.
So we're going to be in Scottsdale the last week of Oct/1st week of November for the USDAA National agility show.  We do really well at the UKC national in Kalamazoo, MI this spring and are hoping that this show does as well for us.
After that we will do Tucson, Yuma and then some agility shows in CA for the month of December.  Jan 1 weekend is Indio, CA and then we'll see what happens after that.  We want to be in Perry, GA for the sheltie National in April.
We are currently driving up I75 to Lexington where we will see the dr tomorrow and spend the weekend working on leather for the shows that are coming up.  We're hoping to stock up well so that they can buy right off the rack instead of having to do special orders.
Fall is definately in the air here in KY, the leaves are tipped with red and gold and looks like a patchwork quilt on the hills.  Down in GA it was still summer, lots of green all over.

Atlanta, GA

We're here in GA, we had a great 10 days at Alpharetta - Wills Park Equestrian Center. We were there last October and now a month earlier in September... we had a great agility show. People were really excited that we showed up and bought the leashes like crazy.
We left there this morning around 7am just as the sun was peeking over the hill and drove straight through the center of Atlanta getting to the Expo center 2 hours later.
The traffic was not bad, a tad heavy and Peter had to concentrate keeping the RV in the lane. We had to stay away from the right lane as it kept becoming an "exit only" so he stayed in the middle lane with cars wizzing by on each side.
Once we got onto the toll portion of 400 there was lighter traffic and then it got heavy again when we merged onto 85/75... but not bad. Thanks to Dixie and Phyllis for steering us right with those great directions.
We don't have electricity here, so we're running our Honda generator... gas is at a premium as most of the stations here have run out and don't expect to get more until next week if then.
We were able to fill up the RV this morning and get 10 gallons in cans (plastic) to put in the generator.
We got over the to center and I setup the booth, thankfully it's inside this weekend. It's supposed to be a nice weekend, so we're praying that we do well.
We will be heading back up to lexington, we've got an appointment with our dr on the 24th and will be then up to Cincinnatti for an agility show as well as getting Hoshi's hips checked. This will show if she's breeding material.
She's been getting so much calmer, she's funny, she'll "talk" to me when she has to go out and do her business... not so much barking but vocalizing. She's such a food hound, she'll do just about anything for a treat. We're working hard on the obedience stuff, and as long as she knows I've got treats in my pocket, she tries very hard to do what I want.
We were in a dog park the other day and I whistled and she came running, I was very impressed because we had not be practicing that. But she knew it was my whistle and she wanted to know what I wanted. She got lots of praise for that.
Nougat keeps us laughing, she loves to run across the front of the RV looking out the window and she "snorts" when she sees someone or some dog... LOL
God is good, orders are coming in for the product and we are able to keep traveling.

Fall is coming?

Up in Ohio where we spent the weekend the leaves are starting to turn and fall.
We took off from there this morning and have now come down to just south of Knoxville, TN and it's still the middle of summer both in the trees being all one color and the heat index being up in the 90's!
We've never taken the route of I-75 before and we're not prepared for the up and down roller coaster that we encountered in TN.  It's beautiful but the climb up the mountain is almost as steep as the rockies going to Utah.  Looking out over the edge I was able to see small communities way down below, very scenic but very hard on the RV, almost overheated a couple of time.
Poor Peter was babying the transmission the whole way.  We don't want to loose another one due to mountains.
Right now we're parked in a KOA and are being rocked by a wind storm with nuts hitting the RV (we're parked under a tree).
We're heading for GA where next weekend we have an agility trial and the following week we have a confirmation in Atlanta.  Then we'll head back up to Lexington to see the dr again and onto Dayton for an agility before heading out west to the Doberman National in Topeka KS.
I'll keep posting here to keep everyone updated.  Lots of traveling in the next month. Prayers are appreciated.

Dr Visit

What a refreshing visit with our new Dr.  We both like him, he's Paul's age and has been out of Med school for 5 years.  He's got an enthusiasm that we enjoy and is eager to help us both.
He's put Peter on medication for his diabetes, just a pill for now hoping that it will bring the numbers down far enough.
He also put me on the fibromyalgia drug but warned that it could take a month to accumulate enough to make a difference.
We'll see him again on the 24th of this month when we come back through for the show up in Dayton.
He's willing to work with our schedule and we'll see him whenever we come through KY or are even close.
We chose Georgetown rather than Lexington since it's closer to the horse park where we always stay and it's easier to drive around in.  There is a large parking lot right across from the offices and we've got permission to park there when we need to.
Praise the Lord that this is working out!!
